Member Applications (Membership)

1. Who can join IMUEx?

According to our Internal Regulations, the Institute is open to:

  • Faculty Members: Academic staff and PhD holders from the University of Extremadura.

  • Research Staff: Researchers contracted under specific projects or regional/national R&D programs.

  • Researchers in Training: PhD students and scholarship holders working within our research lines.

  • Honorary & Collaborating Members: Distinguished researchers from other institutions who maintain a stable scientific relationship with IMUEx.

2. Application Process

To apply for membership, candidates must submit a formal request to the Director of the Institute. The application will be reviewed by the Institute Council, which evaluates the candidate’s scientific trajectory and alignment with the Institute’s research goals.

Required Documentation:

  1. Application Form: Completed and signed official request.

  2. Scientific Curriculum: For new members, a summary of the most significant scientific and technical production from the last 5 years is required (including competitive projects, publications, patents, and conference papers).

  3. Dedication: Specification of the percentage of working hours dedicated to the Institute’s activities.
